How to cleanse and charge your crystals…

Crystals absorb energy from their surroundings and anything or anyone that touches them.  This can make them them dull and lose their sparkle.  It is important to cleanse and charge your crystals whenever you feel they are losing their energy.

Running Water

Wash your crystals under running water holding the intention to rid the crystals of any negative energy.

Do Not WASH WATER SOLUBLE CRYSTALS SUCH AS SELINITE IN WATER.  IT WILL DISSOLVE THEM.  USE ONE OF THE OTHER METHODS INSTEAD.

Incense/Smudging

Hold the crystals with the smoke of the insecure or smudging stick that contains sage.  The sage clears away the negative energy that could have build up on the crystal.  You could also use a San Paulo (Holy Wood) smudging stick.

Sound

The vibrations produced by the sound of tingshaw bells or a signing bowl will cleanse away the negative energy that can build up over time.

Breath

Take a deep breath in, then exhale over the crystal whilst focusing your mind on the intention to cleanse the crystal of negative energy.  You can also program a crystal to a particular task this way.

Sunlight/Moonlight

Cleanse your crystals first using one of the methods above.  Put your crystals outside in the sunlight or full moon, or on a window sill that will catch the light.  This will charge your crystals full of energy.  Red , orange, yellow and pink crystals tend to prefer sunlight, whilst green, blue, purple and clear crystals tend to prefer moonlight.  Get to know your own crystals by meditating with them to find out what they prefer.

Reiki

If your attuned to Reiki at Level 1 or above, practising Reiki over your crystals will cleanse, clear and charge them.
